Committees are a great way to become more involved with our local chapter and the international organization. Members working on a committee generally see an expansion of their local network and will be considered first for open Board of Director positions. Membership and Marketing Committee

Description: The Membership and Marketing Association Committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and engaged community within our organization. Our primary focus is on attracting, retaining, and engaging members while enhancing our brand visibility and outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Development: Strategize and implement initiatives to recruit new members and retain existing ones, ensuring a diverse and active membership base.
- Marketing Strategy: Design and execute comprehensive marketing plans that promote the association’s mission, programs, and events across various platforms.
- Engagement Programs: Develop engaging member programs and events that provide value, foster networking, and encourage active participation.
- Communication: Oversee communication efforts, including newsletters, social media, and promotional materials, to effectively convey the association’s benefits and activities.
- Feedback and Research: Conduct surveys and gather feedback to understand member needs and preferences, informing future initiatives and marketing strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other committees and stakeholders to align efforts and maximize the impact of membership and marketing initiatives.
Tech Ed Symposium Planning Committee

Description: The Tech Ed Symposium Planning Committee is responsible for orchestrating our association’s premier event, bringing together industry experts, thought leaders, and professionals to share insights and innovations. This dynamic team plays a crucial role in shaping an engaging and educational experience for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Curate a compelling Symposium agenda that features keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and technical sessions aligned with current trends and member interests.
- Speaker Coordination: Identify, invite, and manage a diverse lineup of speakers, ensuring a range of perspectives and expertise that enrich the conference experience.
- Sponsorship and Partnerships: Identify potential sponsors and partners, developing packages that enhance the conference while providing value to sponsors and attendees alike.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the conference budget, ensuring that all activities align with financial goals and provide a positive return on investment.
Golf Tournament Committee
Chair: Michael Glasker
Description: The Golf Tournament Committee is dedicated to organizing and executing successful annual golf tournaments, in Kansas City and St. Louis, that fosters camaraderie, networking, and fun among members and sponsors. This committee plays a vital role in promoting our association while providing an enjoyable experience for all participants.

- Event Planning: Coordinate various aspects of the tournament, including date selection, and venue.
- Sponsorship Outreach: Develop sponsorship packages and actively seek out potential sponsors, ensuring opportunities for visibility and engagement throughout the tournament.
- Tournament Format: Establish the tournament format and rules, ensuring a fair and enjoyable competition for players of all skill levels.
Women in Pharma
Chair: Tamara Lewis
Description: The ISPE-Midwest Women in Pharma Committee is dedicated to empowering women in the pharmaceutical industry through networking, mentorship, and professional development. This committee aims to create a supportive community that fosters leadership, collaboration, and growth among women at all stages of their careers.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where women can thrive, share experiences, and inspire one another. By fostering a strong network and providing valuable resources, the committee aims to elevate the role of women in the pharmaceutical industry and promote their success. All are welcome to join this committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Networking Opportunities: Organize events and activities that facilitate networking among women in the pharmaceutical sector, helping to build connections and foster collaboration.
- Mentorship Programs: Develop and implement mentorship initiatives that pair emerging professionals with experienced leaders, providing guidance and support for career advancement.
- Educational Workshops: Curate workshops and seminars that focus on relevant skills and topics, such as leadership development, career planning, and industry trends, to enhance professional growth.
- Advocacy and Awareness: Promote awareness of gender diversity and inclusion within the pharmaceutical industry, advocating for policies and practices that support the advancement of women.
- Resource Development: Create and disseminate resources, such as articles, toolkits, and best practices, to empower women and promote their contributions to the industry.
- Collaboration with Other Committees: Work closely with other ISPE committees to integrate gender diversity initiatives into broader organizational goals and events.
Student Activities Committee

Description: The purpose of the Student Activities committee is threefold: 1. Stimulate the interest of technical students in preparing for a career in the pharmaceutical engineering industry; 2. Recruit Student members of ISPE and the Midwest Chapter; and 3. Encourage student participation in the Tech Ed Symposium.
Young Professionals Committee
Chair:
Description: Recruit, develop programs for, and encourage participation in Chapter activities by young professionals. Create opportunities for education and development, offer professional skillset and network development activities, and create inter- and cross-disciplinary dialogue, in order to help develop leaders in the pharmaceutical engineering industry.
